FIND OUT HOW GOOD YOU REALLY ARE. After seeing how children in NYC Schools are sometimes incorrectly diagnosed and overly medicated, I decided to do something about it. LIU Brooklyn gave me the resources I needed to become a school psychologist. Before I knew it, I'd begun an externship at a local elementary school. Submit your events to Blood Drive - Thanks to its successful Spring Blood Drive last week, LIU Brooklyn has collected 526 pints of blood during the 2012-13 academic year, easily surpassing the campus’s goal of 500 pints. The campus collected 481 pints for the New York Blood Center and 45 pints for the Maimonides Medical Center. The collected pints will go toward saving an estimated total of 1,578 lives, according to Natasha Lewis, coordinator of student civic engagement and community relations in the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development. Those interested in donating blood can visit or call the Maimonides Medical Center at (718) 283-7694. No appointment is necessary.
