Message from the Dean
Workers of the 21st century will have to meet new challenges of a rapidly
changing global business environment. In order to keep pace with the world,
continuous learning and innovation are essential. At the School of Business,
Public Administration and Information Sciences at LIU’s Brooklyn Campus,
we provide the foundations necessary for a successful career in the corporate
world, government, non-profits or technology by providing excellence in teaching
and resources.
The School offers a large number of degree-granting programs for undergraduate
and graduate students in a wide variety of fields. At the undergraduate level,
we offer degrees in Accounting, Management, Marketing, Finance, Information
Sciences and Computer Science. At the graduate level, in addition to our MBA
program, we offer Master’s degrees in Accounting, Computer Science, Public
Administration, Health Administration, Human Resources Management and Taxation.
Our MPA program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public
Affairs and Administration.
The professors are superb instructors who focus on excellence in teaching
using case studies and hands-on projects, while devoting time to get to know
students. They also blend theory with practice, bringing their own business,
technology and public administration experience to the classroom. Challenging
courses, club activities, and a solid liberal arts foundation help students
develop the skills they need to prepare for the challenges of today’s
business environment.
Our students have been honored with awards from prestigious organizations
such as the American Advertising Federation, and have been placed in internships
and jobs at influential companies in the New York area and beyond.
Our presence in the New York metropolitan area, a center of international
business operations, contributes to the dynamism of our School. The Brooklyn
Campus is just minutes away from Wall Street and next to the Metrotech business
district of Downtown Brooklyn. Our students benefit from our proximity to the
commercial center of world through innovative internship programs and access
to diverse employment opportunities.
We invite you to explore our website and learn more about the School of Business,
Public Administration and Information Sciences, and contact us if you would
