Intercultural Institute on Human Development and Aging

The Institute actively establishes links with researchers from diverse departments within Long Island University´s own research community, as well as with other institutions, particularly those with research strengths that complement our own. Over the past several years, we have developed strong research and training collaborations with researchers from the Department of Medicine and Epidemiology, Columbia University, the Department of Sociology, University of Alberta, the Department of Clinical & Counseling Psychology, Teacher´s College, Columbia University, SUNY Health Science´s Department of Geriatric Psychiatry, and Columbia University´s Department of Medical Informatics, and with experts from fields as diverse as nursing, linguistics, statistics, epidemiology, psychology, social work, oncology, sociology, and biology.
