Student Orientation
As a new student, come discover what life will be like once you begin classes at LIU. After you take the placement exam, reserve your seat for ONE of our orientation dates. New Student Orientation will begin at 9am and will end by 4:30pm.

SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE
Transfer Orientation will begin at 9am and will end by 2:30pm.
During the day, you will meet with various departments and students:
- Scholarship Assistance Program
- Career Services
- Transfer Students Panel
- Meet with Academic Advisors
- Register for classes via MyLIU
Transfer students:
Please submit all official transcripts as soon as possible. Once your transcript is reviewed you will receive an email indicating if you have satisfied the English and/or Math requirements or if you need to take the placement exam.
Overnight Orientation

STUDENT ACCOMMODATIONS
Students who require overnight accommodations or intend to live on campus during the school year should attend one of the orientation sessions listed above. Arrangements will be made for you to stay in Conolly Hall.
The fee for an overnight stay is $50. Please send a check or money order, payable to:
