Ad*Access - From Duke University, a database of print ads from US and Canadian newspapers dated 1911-1955.

AdBrands.net – Search by Agency, Advertiser, Country, and Sector.  Ranks companies and lists competitors.  Only selected data is free.

Ad Council - Use for Public Service Ad campaigns.

Ad Eater - Use for international advertisements in the film/video medium from 1981 to present.

AdForum.com – Search for ad campaigns, agencies, products, brands.  Includes internet advertising banners, and award winners.

ADLAW.com – Research legal issues inherent in advertising and marketing.

AdWeek.com – Selected news, industry reports, and account information for free.

American Advertising Federation - Host of the annual ADDY awards, this not-for-profit trade association also connects the industry via Ad Clubs, reaches out to education via College Chapters, and advocates for the industry's interests via its Government and Legal Affairs committees.  Check out the Advertising Ethics, the Most Promising Minority Student Award, and the Mosaic Career Fair.

American Association of Advertising Agencies – The trade association for the advertising industry.  Includes news, government policy analysis, events, and contacts.

RedBooks.com – From the publishers of the Standard Directory of Advertising Agencies (Reference HF5805 .S72), this website offers lots of free information.  Check out the brand name look-up, and rankings.

Zenith Optimedia – A meta-index for advertising and marketing sites.
