Art Teacher Connection
The subtitle of this site is "art through technology". This site provides a wide range of lesson plans and case studies for art teachers. Includes links to art advocacy groups and museum sites.

Getty Center For Education in the Arts
ARTSEDNET is geared for art teachers K-12. The site contains sample lesson plans and curriculum ideas, images of contemporary works of art, a chat line, articles on support for art education, an art publication list, and links to arts programs, case studies and museum sites.

American Institute of Graphic Arts
The American Institute of Graphic Designers is an organization for graphic designers, and design students. The site includes chapter news, conference announcements, exhibitions, and design competition.

The Artist League Of Brooklyn
This is the home page of this organization whose members include social workers, artists, students, designers, and teachers. This organization promotes fine arts in the Brooklyn area. The site includes information about current and past exhibitions.

DUMBO Arts Center (DAC)
Non-profit exhibition space and artist resource that organizes the DUMBO arts festival every October, with open studios, theatre, fashion, performances, music, and more.

National Association of Independent Artists
The NAIA purpose is to “enhance the economic well-being of people who exhibit their work at high quality outdoor and indoor art and/or fine craft shows, encourage creative expression and artistic excellence, and expand public awareness, appreciation and acquisition of fine art and fine craft.

NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts)

Ceramic Arts
This site is an all purpose clearinghouse for information on ceramics for the student, collector and artist. The site contains book reviews, tips on techniques, material sources, artist interviews and biographies, links to educational institutions and associations, links to ceramic fairs and exhibitions and a glossary of ceramic terms.

Yahoo Ceramics
This site includes useful links to smaller ceramic related sites. Over 80 ceramic artists are featured. Short lists of events, publications, schools and museums.

Founded in 1989 and available on the Web since 1995, Artnet provides information about artists, exhibits, auctions, etc.

With Artabus you can have access to virtual galleries displaying fine arts, drawings, paintings, sculptures... Just walk around the galleries, choose some paintings, zoom on them and get some info about them.

Olga’s Gallery
Their site claims to be “one of the largest and most comprehensive online collections.” On their pages you will find over 8,000 works of art. “We are dedicated to bringing you quality information about artists and their artwork from all around the world.”

Image Databases

Art Museum Image Consortium (AMICO)
This site provides an image resource of selected objects in member museum collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, the Library of Congress and the Frick Collection.

Digital Image Center
Developed at the University of Virginia Library, this site exists as both a physical space and a clearinghouse of Web-based image resources.

Web Museum Network
This site covers special exhibitions at the Louvre with links to image collections around the world. Most useful is the "famous paintings" index which provides access to images by artist, theme, country and period.

Brooklyn Museum

This site provides information about current exhibitions and museum programs.

Metropolitan Museum of Art
This site includes information on current and past exhibitions for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cloisters; programs and tours for adults and children, and subject access to select works in the collection.

Museum of Modern Art
