Black History Month: New Orleans We probably overestimate the importance of professional sports in our American lives, but it is hard, in the shadow of the recent Super Bowl win for the New Orleans Saints, to underestimate the positive impact that a local team can have on a community's spirit and sense of self. New Orleans has always been a city with the strongest of personalities, even in the face of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, and while a Super Bowl win does not bring a city back to its feet economically and structurally, it can reinvigorate a community's pride, and lift a city's spirit. Which is no small feat. So in the days following the Saints first ever NFL Championship, here's a list of some titles in the BCLMC that feature that unique and complicated, great American city, New Orleans. The
