Some databases
are optimized for mobile access. Database vendors such as
Ebsco and Gale have developed apps for users to access databases
via mobile devices. They have designed their websites to optimize
the display on smaller screens, such as the ones on smartphones
and other mobile devises. You may click on the links directly
to get to the databases by these vendors.
To use

databases that the Library subscribes to, please click on

EBSCOhost Mobile App:
To download the EBSCOhost Mobile App to your iPhone, iPod
Touch or iPad, follow the instructions:
1.
Go to the Academic Search Premier database
2.
Click on the link at the bottom that says “New: EBSCOhost
iPhone/iPod Touch Application”
3.
Enter your e-mail address in the pop-up box to receive the
instructions, key, and a link to the App Store
4.
Retrieve the key and the link via your the e-mail on the iPhone,
iPod touch, or iPad and follow the instructions to install
the app
Gale
Mobile App:
1.
Go to Apple App Store or iTunes Store.
2.
Find the "AccessMyLibraryCollege" app
3.
Install the app
4.
Select your state: New York
5.
Select your school: Long Island University Libraries - Brooklyn
Campus
6.
Click on "View Gale Resources" button at the bottom
7.
Enter your LIU email address and retrieve the password via
your email
8.
Enter the password to authenticate
