Mandatory International Health Insurance
Global College students who are studying abroad are automatically charged for International Health Insurance each semester*. All students will be charged for international health insurance regardless if they are covered under a parent’s policy. The only Global College students that will not be automatically billed are students enrolled in a U.S. Independent Study, Capstone and Advising Semesters. Students wishing to purchase coverage during semesters that they are not automatically billed should contact Aetna Student Health through their website. Please click here for specific student health insurance coverage information.
Students will receive their health insurance cards in the mail at their home address. It is important to emphasize that except for long term hospitalization; students must pay out of pocket, and then submit the receipts to the insurance company for reimbursement. The percentage covered and deductibles are outlined in the online policy handbook.
*The international health insurance fee is subject to change every academic year. Click here for current rates.
