Admission to Degree Program in Urban Studies










To undertake a program leading to the Master of Arts degree in Urban Studies, a student is required to have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, and is expected to have taken at least 24 semester hours of advanced undergraduate work in the social sciences (economics, history, political science, psychology, sociology and anthropology) or the equivalent. Students who were not undergraduate social science majors may be required to take up to 12 credits of undergraduate courses. Admission to specialized advanced courses must be approved by the Chair and/or the instructor.
