Media Arts Department
With a large TV studio comes ample opportunity for students to
perform in front of the camera. The media arts department is a
great place for artists to explore new media and performance.
The Spike Lee Screening Room is utilized for a variety of events
including film festivals and music productions.
Athletic, Recreation and Wellness Center
Since the performer’s body is his/her instrument, a healthy
body makes for a solid performer. LIU Brooklyn is proud to announce
the new Athletic, Recreation and Wellness Center opening in Fall
2005. The largest building project in the Campus’ 78-year
history, the $40 million, 100,000 square-foot complex will provide
state-of-the-art athletic facilities for students and other members
of the Campus community. It will feature tennis courts, a running
track, a broad array of workout equipment and a 25-yard swimming
pool in addition to a 3,000 seat arena, where the school’s
NCAA Division I teams will compete.
