The purpose of the S.G.A. is:

We function as the voice of the students on campus. We address issues and concerns of the student organizations as well as the individual students. And as elected representatives of the student body, we dedicate our time in office to the constant metamorphosis of the LIU experience. We share in sculpturing our campus into a healthier, more cultural, academic, and socially enriched atmosphere. We accomplish these tasks by facilitating a close and progressive relationship between the LIU administration and the student body, and we utilize the expressed dilemmas and suggestions of both of these parties to determine our actions.

SGA meetings are held on Thursdays from 11:00-12:00 PM.
The SGA office operates
Monday-Thursday-9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Firday 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
