When taking the ATS-W (Assessment of Teaching
Skills-Written) Examination, candidates must write an essay
based on an assigned prompt. In order to write the essay,
candidates should follow a three-step process: first, decode
the assignment to see what the test evaluators are really
asking; second, consider what content your essay will need;
third, use an appropriate format for the essay.
