James Cribbs is the Campus Grants Coordinator and has over fifteen years of experience as a fund raising professional and a writer. James assists Brooklyn Campus faculty and staff in their efforts to attract grants from private and government funding sources by helping to identify potential sources of support, advising on how grant requests and programs should be structured, and guiding the subsequent proposal submission process. James’s most prominent responsibility is to provide editorial assistance on grant proposals and help with other writing assignments required by the administration. He is also responsible for managing the subsequent grant reporting requirements and assists with other fund raising and public-relations activities as needed.

James was previously the Director of Development for New York City CASA and the Director of Major Gifts for Citymeals On Wheels, and he provides consulting services for a range of not-for-profit agencies. James periodically writes for various online publications and has been active in the gay and lesbian rights movement. James has a law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. James resides in Brooklyn Heights.
