Established in 1993, Common Ground combines community service with academic instruction, focusing on critical, reflective thinking and civic responsibility. This Brooklyn Campus program involves students in organized community service that addresses local needs, while it enhances students’ academic skills and commitment to the community. Some 45 agencies are affiliated with Common Ground, including the United Nations, the Sierra Club and the Historic Districts Council.
