Since 1989, this informal performance series has introduced the art of dance to audiences, including senior citizens, local business workers and school children. Members of emerging and major dance companies – such as the Limón Dance Company, the Martha Graham Dance Ensemble, Taylor 2 (of the Paul Taylor Dance Company), Ron Brown/ Evidence, Urban Bush Women and Misnomer Dance Theater – perform and discuss their art forms, promoting discovery and excitement about dance and artistic explorations. Sponsored in part by grants from Target and the Brooklyn Arts Council, performances generally take place one Wednesday each month, at noon, in the Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts.
