Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts
Opened in 2005 through a generous contribution from University Trustee Steven J. Kumble, the Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts is a dynamic, state-of-the art performance venue that serves one of the most diverse campuses and communities in the country. It is designed to nourish artistic exploration and development by students and visiting artists while providing the entire community greater access to an exciting range of Broadway-quality, classical and cutting-edge professional performances. The Brooklyn Ballet, the Opera Company of Brooklyn and artists such as
Jazz pianist Randy Weston and Blue Note’s Jason Moran, presented by 651 ARTS, are just a sampling of the high caliber of performances that this magnificently designed venue have to offer.
